What's Inside: This is the Commonwealth's newest architectural masterpiece! The 2006 AIA Kentucky Merit Award winner, this spectacular six story office complex houses offices for 60 different governmental departments occupying a half million square feet. Total project costs, including site preparation, road and infrastructure improvements in the area and a supporting utility plant is currently estimated at $115.2 million. The building includes approximately 250,000 s.f. of flexible office environment utilizing raised access floors, modular component cabling and wiring, underfloor HVAC distribution and the latest concepts for systems furnishings and modular office design.
Features: InnerSpace is proud to have installed DDC system controls consisting of over 150 York underfloor MIT boxes in conjunction with 1,500 damper units; 130 VAV boxes with HW reheat; 9 built-up AHU's and controls of building HW/CW pumping systems. InnerSpace also provided a BACnet interface to the Lithonia Lighting System.
The Gill Heart Institute - University of Kentucky Medical Center
What's Inside: The Gill Heart Institute consists of clinics, diagnostic areas, six Cath and EP labs with associated support services, and administrative and faculty offices. The building also houses UK's Hospital Center for Advanced Surgery including waiting areas, pre- and post-operative rooms, eight operating rooms, sterile processing, and all necessary support services.
Features: The primary care/outpatient diagnostic treatment building consists of approximately 108,000 square feet on five floors including a mechanical penthouse.
